Aaron Swerdlin, Senior Managing Director

With more than 15 years of self storage property and capital markets experience, Aaron is recognized as one of the industry’s foremost real estate investment experts.  Aaron directs our new business development initiatives, and because of his longstanding leadership in the investment community, is the primary advisor with institutional investors and for managing relationships with select private capital sources nationwide.  He also provides overall direction for the team and creates corporate development strategies to support our firm’s long-term success.  Aaron is a frequent speaker at self storage industry events and a contributing author on real estate investment topics for regional and national publications. 

 

Amber Hagopian, Senior Analyst

Ms. Hagopian has over 10 years of experience in commercial real estate finance. She is primarily responsible for performing financial and market analysis, preparing offering documents, and facilitating the due diligence and closing processes for the investment sales group.

 

 

 

Barbara Guffey, Associate Director

With over 12 years experience in commercial real estate finance, Barbara is responsible for assisting clients with their transactional needs.  She works with buyers and sellers in facilitating the acquisition and disposition of assets, including valuation services and the marketing process.  Barbara is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, NAIOP, and is a committee chair for Commercial Real Estate for Women.

 

 

Chris Vittetoe, Director

Mr. Vittetoe is a Director in the Los Angeles office of HFF with over six years of experience in commercial real estate finance. He specializes in retail and multi-housing debt and structured finance throughout the western United States. Over the course of his career, Mr. Vittetoe has participated in more than $1.5 billion of commercial real estate transactions. Chris is the primary point of contact for self storage debt origination in the western part of the US.

 

 

Colby Mueck - Associate Director

Mr. Mueck is an Associate Director in the Houston office of HFF with nearly six years of experience in commercial real estate finance and over eight years’ experience in the real estate industry.  He is primarily involved in debt, equity and investment sale transactions in Texas and the southern United States.  Mr. Mueck has significant transaction experience in the capitalization of all asset types including office, industrial, retail, multi-housing, hospitality, self storage and medical properties. Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Mueck has been involved in the closing of over $1.2 billion in debt placement, joint venture and investment sale transactions. Colby is the primary point of contact for self storage debt origination in the central part of the US.

 

Doug McCarron, Managing Director - Brokerage/West

Based in our Los Angeles, California office, Doug is the co-leader of our Private Capital Practice and focuses his efforts on serving clients in the western portion of the country. He works with buyers and sellers during their facility acquisition and disposition transactions, and provides valuation services for the private client sector. Doug is an active member of the California Self Storage Association and also serves as the editor of our electronic newsletter, The Advisor.

 

   

Gina Munoz, Analyst

Gina coordinates financial analysis on client assignments and database support for the team. Her responsibilities include providing assistance with the underwriting and valuation of properties, as well as the organization of due diligence information provided by clients. Gina is involved in a variety of tasks throughout each client transaction as she is cross-trained with both the marketing and the financial departments.

 

 

Jennifer Munoz, Production Coordinator

Production Coordinator. Jennifer coordinates a variety of marketing initiatives for our group, including marketing communication collateral development, website and online communications and special event planning. She is also responsible for managing our property and investor databases, and working with other team members to develop local, regional and national private investor lists. Jennifer is also responsible for the creation and design of the Confidential Offering Memorandum. Jennifer supports clients during transactions by ensuring they receive Offering Memoranda and financial information, distributing their property marketing materials, and coordinating local property tours.

 

 

Steven Klein, Managing Director

With over 10 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, Steven is responsible for originating debt transactions throughout the United States.  Steven is based in our New York City office and his primary focus is arranging financing for owners, developers and buyers of real estate assets.  He has underwritten, analyzed and facilitated commercial real estate transactions in excess of $4.5 billion.  Steven’s professional affiliations include the Real Estate Board of New York, the Urban Land Institute and he is a board member of the Young Mortgage Bankers Association.  Steven is the primary point of contact for self storage debt origination in the eastern part of the US.
